Jackson Technical maintains complete control of the data center environment through full ownership of the property. Security is implemented using a multi layered strategy that includes 24 7 internal and external video surveillance. Customer access to equipment is tightly controlled through a series of security checkpoints beginning with a man trap where identity verification is performed by an on site security guard. Movement within the facility is restricted with visitors escorted by authorized staff through multiple electronically controlled access points.
The facility is designed with an N plus 1 fault tolerant architecture to ensure uninterrupted operations during component failures. Cooling is provided by LG Multi V units which are professionally serviced twice per year. Environmental conditions are continuously monitored using redundant systems that track temperature humidity moisture detection and airflow to maintain optimal operating conditions for all hardware.
Power is delivered via a 480V three phase utility feed stepped down to 208V and distributed using flexible bus bar systems. Customers receive redundant A and B power protected by redundant UPS units. In the event of a utility outage a dedicated on site diesel generator equipped with an automatic transfer switch enables rapid power cutover. The generator is tested weekly for 30 minutes and receives comprehensive maintenance twice annually. An exterior generator tap is also available to support quick deployment of portable backup generators during extended emergencies.
The network infrastructure is engineered for high availability and performance featuring dual path facility entry and a redundant fiber optic backbone provided by Lumen Cox Communications and AT and T. Cisco ASR 9010 routers are deployed at the network edge while Cisco Nexus 7009 switches support the core and distribution layers. Redundancy is embedded throughout the design utilizing dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and iBGP port channel connections across separate line cards and a carrier neutral architecture with three providers and peering with a major network.
The data center offers a compact high density footprint optimized for efficiency with a total power capacity of 0.4 MW and 836 square feet of fully built out whitespace. Flexible service options are available including full cabinets partial cabinets and shared rackspace. On site Remote Hands support is provided to assist customers with technical and operational needs.
