To ensure continuous operation, the center utilizes a highly resilient electrical architecture. This includes N plus 1 UPS redundancy and 2N standby power redundancy, providing multiple layers of backup to prevent downtime during power grid fluctuations or failures.

ABQ1 is a massive purpose built facility encompassing a total building size of 420589 square feet, with 13577 square feet of dedicated whitespace. The interior is designed for maximum functionality, featuring a raised floor system and specialized areas such as a Meet Me Room, conference rooms, and breakrooms. The Tier 3 design supports a variety of deployment options, ranging from full and partial cabinets to shared rackspace, private cages, and custom suite footprints.

To maintain optimal performance for high density hardware, the data center employs robust climate control systems with N plus 1 cooling redundancy. The facility supports a maximum power density of 0.25 kW per rack. Furthermore, the building is protected by a sophisticated pre action fire suppression system. This system utilizes a dual detection method combining ionized and photoelectric detectors interlocked with a dry pipe sprinkler system to prevent accidental water damage.

Security at the Albuquerque site is comprehensive and proactive, featuring 24 by 7 onsite security staff. Physical access is strictly regulated through a series of checkpoints, including mantrap entries, biometric access controls, and card access systems. The entire perimeter and interior are monitored by continuous CCTV surveillance, ensuring that only authorized personnel can interact with the sensitive infrastructure housed within.
