The LexisNexis Springfield Data Center is a top-tier, high-availability facility dedicated to hosting and protecting law firm data and systems, ensuring business continuity against interruptions. The total building encompasses 62,000 square feet, featuring a substantial 20,000 square feet of raised flooring (whitespace) designed for equipment, and an 18,000 square foot mechanical/electrical plant. The facility offers a comprehensive suite of services, including backup and recovery, replication, robust security, systems and application management, and network services, all aimed at providing a secure and reliable hosting environment.

The center is engineered for maximum power protection with a fully built-out power capacity of 2 MW. Its resilient power system includes two 2,000-KW generators and four 500-KV static UPS modules organized into two separate systems, providing redundancy and protection against power outages. For cooling, the facility utilizes robust systems, including two 350-ton air-cooled chillers, with a cooling redundancy configuration of N+1. The design also incorporates leak detection and a sophisticated fire suppression system.

Security is paramount at the Springfield Data Center. The physical structure is protected by a fenced perimeter, Mantrap Entry, CCTV surveillance, and Card Access Control. The center is staffed with onsite security personnel 24/7. Furthermore, the facility is both Safe Harbor and SSAE 16 certified, guaranteeing adherence to stringent industry compliance and security standards.

To safeguard critical data and equipment, the facility employs a two-pronged approach to fire suppression. It features an FM200 fire suppression system deployed below the raised floor, which is ideal for quick, clean suppression in equipment areas. Additionally, a double-interlocked pre-action (dry pipe) sprinkler system is in place, offering highly reliable overhead fire protection.

LexisNexis ensures reliable, high-availability connectivity by offering hosting customers a wide variety of Internet speeds and services from major Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The hosting options are flexible, accommodating needs ranging from Full Cabinets and Partial Cabinets to Shared Rackspace and Cages. The maximum power density offered is 0.08 kW/sq.f.

The facility is staffed with experienced personnel, providing 24/7 onsite technical staff and remote hands support. The building's physical integrity is designed to withstand extreme environmental threats, specifically constructed to resist winds up to 150 mph, ensuring continuous operation even during severe weather conditions.
