Databridge Sites (Silver Spring/DC Metro) Data Center

The Agile Data Sites Silver Spring campus is a premier 214,000 square foot, two story facility situated on an 11 acre ultra secure campus in the heart of the Washington Metropolitan region. Ideally positioned to serve National and local markets including DC, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia, the site offers 90,000 square feet of conditioned 30 inch raised floor whitespace, with an additional 25,000 square feet available for expansion. The facility includes 20,000 square feet of technical office space and a detached tape storage bunker, all hardened to withstand 125 mph winds and local seismic activity while maintaining LEED Gold New Construction certification.

Designed for financial grade resiliency, the campus features a robust electrical system capable of supporting high density loads over 150 watts per square foot. The infrastructure includes 2N electrical utility service and 9 megawatts of UPS power configured in N+2 and N+1 arrangements, utilizing five Piller uniblock rotary 1.8 megawatt systems. For emergency backup, the site boasts 22 megawatts of prime rated generator capacity supported by four 25,000 gallon underground fuel tanks, ensuring 72 hours of continuous operation at full load.

The facility is engineered for concurrent maintainability and fault tolerance, meeting Tier IV requirements. The mechanical design utilizes an N+1 configuration with 3,250 tons of chilled water capacity and N+2 HVAC units to ensure precise climate control for critical IT loads. This infrastructure supports a variety of compute applications, from production and cloud computing to high density containers and storage solutions, all while maintaining a track record of zero downtime for trillions of dollars in daily transactions.

Connectivity is a core strength of the Silver Spring campus, featuring diverse telecommunications infrastructure from industry leading carriers. The facility provides fiber data connectivity from five network providers via four physically diverse paths. It currently hosts one Internet Exchange Point and six peering networks, offering clients a high performance environment for low latency data transfer. Additionally, the site supports modular container pads for flexible, scalable leasing options.

Physical security at the campus meets rigorous GSA ISC Level IV standards. The perimeter is secured by 8 foot ram proof fencing and jersey barriers, while internal access is controlled via man traps, card readers, and eye scanners. The entire site is monitored by a comprehensive video surveillance system. To protect hardware, the facility employs a multi layered fire suppression strategy, including VESDA Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus, pre action systems, and Clean Agent fire protection.

Agile Data Sites provides a versatile range of deployment options, including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and custom suites. The facility is move in ready with 5,000 to 36,000 square foot POD increments and offers Remote Hands services for ongoing maintenance. Furthermore, the campus features a state of the art tape storage platform with a massive capacity for over 500,000 tapes, making it an ideal choice for complex business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
