Infomart's facility is a robust, high-availability data center that meets or exceeds the industry's toughest operational standards for availability, security, connectivity, and physical resilience. Operational since 2012, this well-established center delivers a full suite of data services and is engineered to endure major environmental and structural stresses.

Structure and Construction Team

The facility is classified as a FEMA 356 "Essential Facility" and is structurally robust, featuring seismic reinforcement at a 1.5 Structural Importance Factor for both the building and all internal improvements. The construction was managed by DPR/Fortis Construction as the General Contractor, with key contributions from Rosendin Electric for electrical systems and Apollo for mechanical systems. Commissioning and integrated testing were overseen by Lee Technologies, ensuring stringent facility standards were met.

Power, Efficiency, and Availability

The data center delivers extensive power capacity, supporting 7.9 MW in Phase I, with Phases II and III adding 12 MW, resulting in a total built-out capacity of 24 MW. It features a 99% efficient UPS, full aisle containment, and 100% economized (free-cooling) operation, supporting a Pass-Through Power and PUE model. The facility has maintained 100% uptime since its launch and offers 2N Service Availability for all IT Critical Load. The center meets TIA 942-2 standards and has achieved a Level 5 Commissioned critical load, supporting densities up to 200 W/SF and a high-density profile at 200 W/SF PUE.

Connectivity and Low Latency

As a Carrier-Neutral facility, Infomart includes direct connectivity to major networks such as Frontier, Coho, Level3, and Zayo (AboveNet). Additional network partners within close proximity include TW Telecom, CenturyLink (Qwest), Integra, AT&T, Verizon Business, Comcast, and ACS/Tata Communications. The center prioritizes low-latency performance with routing speeds including 17 msRT to San Jose, 3.5 msRT to Seattle, 45 msRT to Chicago, and 87 msRT to Tokyo. Infrastructure features include a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and access to nine peering networks.

Security and Features

Security measures run around the clock, supported by 24/7 security guards and on-site Engineering and Facility Management teams. The facility incorporates a fenced perimeter, CCTV video monitoring, biometric access controls, and card-based entry systems. It is also equipped with a full alarm system and a Dual-interlock pre-action sprinkler fire suppression system. Core infrastructure includes air conditioning, generators, and UPS power systems, all operating on an N+1 redundancy model across cooling, standby power, and power backup systems.

The data center provides flexible tenancy choices including private suite rentals, rack cages, footprints, and office space. Available service offerings include Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, Suites, Footprints, and Remote Hands support. The facility is built as a sole-tenant data center with 345,000 square feet of total building space and expandable whitespace. On-site amenities include conference rooms, breakrooms, loading bays, WiFi connectivity, vehicle parking options, and bicycle storage.

The Infomart facility benefits from strong Oregon State legislative incentives, including exemptions from sales and property tax within an enterprise zone. Qualified clients may be eligible for up to $2MM annually in income tax credits through the E-commerce Zone program.
