The DTS-NET facility is meticulously designed to support mission-critical operations, ensuring maintenance can be performed on any service without interrupting customer operations. Its robust infrastructure is detailed across five key areas: Facility, Security, Environmental, Electrical, and Network.
The physical structure features steel frame construction and is rated for Seismic Zone 3, offering high resilience. The floor boasts a significant 300 Lbs per square foot load capacity, and the building was constructed with UBC Type II fire rated construction in 1999. For future growth, the site offers >3200 Sq ft expansion available, with private office space also an option. Available hosting options include Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, Suites, and Footprints.
Security is comprehensive, featuring both physical and electronic safeguards. All services are monitored by ADT + Sitescope + IPS Alarm Monitor. The location benefits from Bank security on the ground floor. Access is strictly controlled, utilizing Card key elevator access and 24/7 Card key/biometric scanner access to the datacenter floor. Surveillance is maintained by 24/7 Security cameras w/remote access. For client equipment, the facility provides Locked cages (with custom entry available) and Locked cabinets (with custom locks available).
The environmental systems are designed for high redundancy and stability, adhering to ASHRAE standards. Cooling is provided by 86 tons of redundant HVAC. Fire suppression is multi-layered, consisting of a primary FM 200 Inert Fire Suppression system (which is also redundant), backed up by a Pre Action Sprinkler System. The environment is constantly monitored with 24/7 temperature monitoring with alarm to ensure optimal operating conditions.
The electrical system emphasizes redundancy and high capacity. The facility has a total of 1600 AMP service divided into five separate conduits to the floor, with an additional 2400 AMP capacity available. The wiring was completely refreshed in June 2018. All primary services are on separate, redundant circuits. Each cabinet/rack receives a redundant A+B circuit. Power continuity is ensured by a 500 AMP DC plant and multiple UPS systems: a 40 KVA DC/AC Inverter with 18 hour battery backup, a 50 KVA Mitsubishi UPS, and an 80 KVA Liebert UPS (both with 2 hour backups). All critical systems are ultimately backed by a 450 KVA Generator.
The network infrastructure is built for high availability and low latency. It features Multi-Homed GigE Internet feeds across two self-healing rings, with major carriers like AT&T, Zayo, and Level 3 in the facility. Core and distribution utilize redundant hardware: a Redundant Redback SmartEdge 800 Router for the core and a Redundant Foundry BigIron Switch for distribution. A redundant feed is delivered to each cabinet/rack, and the facility maintains private fiber to various providers, including Verizon and Level3. It also offers extensive TDM and Mux capabilities, from T1 to OC, via Redback TDM/Adtran Mux. Remote Hands services are available to customers.
