Digital Fortress Portland Data Center 3, engineered and deployed in 2011, was designed to be the most energy-efficient retail data center in Oregon at that time. This facility is the second building on the Digital Fortress campus and offers high-density green energy to its clients, along with complete access to all cloud services provided by Digital Fortress.

Redundancy and Reliability
The facility is built to a high standard of reliability, with a Tier Design of Tier 2. Critical systems feature N+1 redundancy, ensuring that a failure in one component will not disrupt operations. This level of redundancy is applied to the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), the Cooling infrastructure, and the Standby Power systems.

A robust security infrastructure is in place to protect the housed data and equipment. Security measures include continuous CCTV surveillance throughout the facility. Access control is managed through advanced technology, specifically using Biometric Access Control to ensure only authorized personnel can enter restricted areas.

For fire safety, the data center utilizes a reliable Automatic Fire Suppression system. The specific technology deployed is a Pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system. This type of system is commonly used in data centers to prevent accidental water damage to sensitive electronic equipment.
