This facility is designed to offer highly secure edge colocation and hybrid IT solutions, ensuring flexibility, compliance, security, and continuous availability for enterprises, businesses, and startups.
Facility Size and Configuration
Spanning 550,000 square feet, the facility is a Tier III data center. It offers diverse configuration options, including full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and custom-built configurations like private suites and a dedicated 7,500 square feet of private space.
Power Infrastructure and Efficiency
The data center features a robust power setup, starting with a 69 MW dedicated substation. Power redundancy is maintained with over twenty 2.0 MW generator capacity (N+2) for standby power and 2 x 600 kW UPS back-up power (2N) for AC customers. A key efficiency measure is the Ultra Low PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.15.
Cooling System
Cooling is handled by an advanced system providing a total cooling capacity of 22,000 tons. The facility utilizes DX Cooling plus heat rejection, touted as the most advanced cooling system in the industry, which also contributes to 85% less water usage. Cooling redundancy is N+2, with features like cold aisle containment to maintain an efficient environment that supports high-density racks from 1 to 35 KW per rack/cabinet.
Security and Compliance
Security is paramount and is enforced through a 24 x 7 x 365 multiple-layer security access system, including biometric access and a Man trap. Infrastructure and perimeter are monitored continuously, complemented by CCTV surveillance and dedicated 24/7 onsite security staff. The facility adheres to major compliance standards, including DSS PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II Certified, and SOC 3 Type 1 Certified.
Interconnection and Network
The center is a network dense platform offering direct connectivity to world-class network carriers via Fiber, Ethernet, COAX, or POTS. Key carriers available include AT&T, CenturyLink, Cogent, Level3, Verizon, XO, and Zayo. It also provides Dark & Lit Fiber options to the 120 East Van Buren exchange, and customers can utilize Evocative's own Layer 1-3 services. The national footprint averages 15 carriers per site with over 100 unique carriers across all sites.
