The Phoenix EdgeConneX Edge Data Center (EDC) is a purpose-built, strategically located facility designed to offer secure colocation services. Its placement minimizes latency, ensuring efficient content and application delivery to local-market consumers. This setup enhances service performance for both enterprise and consumer subscribers, as well as general internet users.
The EDC supports high-density deployments with robust infrastructure. At full build-out, it provides 4.5 MW of power and 17,300 sq. ft. of whitespace for customer equipment within a total building size of 79,200 sq. ft. The facility is engineered for heavy workloads, supporting up to 20 kW per rack and 0.6 kW per sq. ft. of area.
This data center meets Tier 3 Design standards through N+1 redundancy across all critical systems, including UPS, Cooling, and Standby Power. This ensures uninterrupted operations during maintenance or component failures, maximizing uptime and service reliability.
The Phoenix EDC maintains strong security and compliance measures, holding certifications such as DSS PCI, ISO27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2 Type II. Physical security features include a Mantrap Entry, CCTV surveillance, Biometric Access Control, and Card Access Control, supported by 24/7 onsite security personnel.
The facility uses advanced Pre-action, zoned dry-pipe sprinkler systems with dedicated zoning for maintenance aisles and individual customer suites. This design minimizes accidental water discharge while ensuring effective fire protection.
As a carrier-neutral data center, the EDC provides flexible, efficient connectivity. It supports 3 Internet Exchange Points, connects to 34 Peering networks, and partners with 3 Network providers. This ensures optimal routing and accelerated content delivery for customers.
The Phoenix EDC offers diverse colocation services, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Build-to-Suit footprints. Additional amenities include Raised Floor infrastructure, Office Space, WiFi, and professional Remote Hands support for equipment management.
