Iron Mountain's AZP-1 and AZP-2 data centers are strategically located just 10 minutes east of downtown Phoenix. This prime location offers an exceptional array of power and interconnection options designed to meet the needs of enterprises, service providers, and hyperscale clouds. To expand its capacity, a third Phoenix facility, AZP-3, is currently under development.
The combined facilities offer significant power resources, with a Total Building Size of 588,669 sq. ft. and a Fully Built-Out Power capacity of 41 MW. The operational efficiency is high, evidenced by a low PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.3. Critical power systems ensure maximum uptime with UPS Redundancy at 2N+1 and Standby Power Redundancy also at 2N+1.
The data centers boast a robust and diverse On-Campus Ecosystem of 260+ members, offering access to All Clouds on-site. The network connectivity is extensive, supported by 25+ Network Service Providers, with a total of 38 Network providers listed, and 27 Peering networks. It also features 1 Internet Exchange Point and 4 Tenants offering colocation services.
Security is a top priority with a Tier 3 Design. Physical protection includes a Fenced Perimeter, CCTV surveillance, and 24/7 Onsite Security Staff. The facility adheres to numerous stringent compliance and quality standards, holding certifications such as DSS PCI Certified, ISO27001 Certified, HIPAA, ISO9001 Certified, ISO14001 Certified, ISO22301 Certified, SOC 2 Type II Certified, SOC 3 Type 1 Certified, and NIST 800-53 Certified.
The center, which became operational in 2011, is a retrofitted building featuring a Raised Floor for optimal cooling and cable management. It operates as a Multi-tenant (mixed use) facility, providing a variety of colocation options: Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites.
AZP-2 is notable for being the First-Ever BREEAM Certified Data Center, highlighting Iron Mountain’s commitment to sustainability. Core operational features include N+1 Cooling Redundancy and specialized services like Remote Hands. While Onsite Security Staff is present 24/7, there is No Onsite Technical Staff.
The data center includes several amenities to support tenants and visitors, such as a Meet-Me-Room (MMR), Conference Room, Breakroom, Office Space, Loading Bay, and Parking Available.
