The Parsippany I data center is situated within a commercial office building on Route 10 in Parsippany, New Jersey. This location offers excellent connectivity, being approximately 40 minutes from Manhattan and 30 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Its proximity to major highways, including Routes 24, 80, and 287, makes it easily accessible by both car and bus. Additionally, it is about one mile from the Morris Plains train station, which provides convenient Midtown Direct train service. The data center provides a high degree of flexibility to meet diverse customer needs. Colocation options range from small deployments like single rack units, to larger options including 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, and full open racks. For customers requiring more dedicated space, the facility also offers secure locking cabinets and various sizes of small private cages.

The power infrastructure consists of a single power system utilizing Eaton-PowerWare UPS systems equipped with individual battery validation systems. This system is reliably backed up by powerful diesel generation. The power delivery is flexible, capable of providing both single pole (120v) and double pole (208v) power to customers. Customers can choose between flat-rate and metered power billing options.

To ensure optimal operating conditions and prevent equipment overheating, the Parsippany I data center employs multiple Liebert dry-cool CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioner) units. These systems are essential for maintaining the stable temperature and humidity required for continuous data center operation.

Security is a top priority, with a comprehensive system in place. Access to all secure areas is controlled by two-factor authentication, requiring both a Proximity card and a biometric fingerprint reader. This is complemented by 24/7/365 on-site security personnel. The facility utilizes a High Definition CCTV network covering all critical interior and exterior locations and access points, with a generous 90 days of video retention.

The data center boasts strong connectivity with major access points and on-net carriers. Direct connections include Net Access Corporation and Extended Cross-Connect options to key metropolitan hubs such as 60 Hudson St. (TelX) and 25 Broadway (Telehouse) in NYC, and 165 Halsey St. (Equinix) in Newark, NJ. Major on-net carriers available include Verizon Telco, Verizon Business (former MCI/UUnet), Level 3, and Optimum Lightpath.

The Parsippany I data center is officially rated to meet or exceed the specifications of a Tier 2 data center, as defined by The Uptime Institute. This classification indicates specific redundancy levels for power and cooling. Furthermore, the facility demonstrates commitment to operational excellence and control by undergoing an annual SAS-70 Type II Audit, confirming its reliability and adherence to established service standards.
