The Parsippany II data center is located in a quiet office park in Parsippany, NJ, offering convenient access to the region. It is approximately 40 minutes from Manhattan and 30 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The facility is easily accessible by car and public transport, with major highways such as Routes 24, 46, 80, and 287 nearby. Onsite amenities for customer use include office suites, conference and break rooms, server build rooms, and long-term storage.

Parsippany II is one of the highest density facilities in the region, supporting power densities of up to 20 kW (167 amps @ 120v) per cabinet. This allows customers to expand their computing environment without increasing their physical footprint, unlike lower-density facilities. The facility relies on two independent (N+1) power systems, each using General Electric UPS systems with individual battery validation and supported by diesel generators. Power can be delivered in multiple configurations, including single pole (120v), double pole (208v), and three phase setups, with flexible flat-rate or metered billing options.

The data center’s cooling infrastructure is designed for efficiency and contamination control. Specialized cabinets with sealed backs and heat chimneys ensure that hot air is removed without mixing with ambient cool air. Low-velocity, high CFM ambient air cooling is used, incorporating the latest green technologies. These measures contribute to an estimated Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.2, reflecting the facility’s highly efficient operations.

Parsippany II maintains a multi layered security protocol with 24/7/365 onsite security personnel. Access to secure areas is controlled through biometric authentication, including fingerprint readers and facial geometry scanners. Main access points utilize a three-factor man-trap system with proximity card, fingerprint, and facial recognition authentication. Cage access requires two factor authentication. Security is further enhanced by a high-definition CCTV network monitoring all interior and exterior strategic locations, with video retained for 90 days.

The data center provides robust connectivity with extended cross-connect capabilities to major carrier hotels in the region. Key peering connections include 60 Hudson St. (TelX) and 25 Broadway (Telehouse) in NYC, and 165 Halsey St. (Equinix) in Newark, NJ. Parsippany II is on-net with several major carriers, such as Verizon Telco, Verizon Business (former MCI/UUnet), AboveNet, Optimum Lightpath, and Level 3. It also features a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and connections to eight peering networks.

The facility is designed to meet or exceed Tier 4 specifications as defined by The Uptime Institute. It holds multiple compliance certifications, including SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. The facility has a retrofitted construction type, a maximum floor load of 340 lbs per square foot, and has been operational since 2010, ensuring reliability and resilience for critical workloads.

Parsippany II provides a wide range of services to suit various customer needs, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, cages, suites, and footprints. Additionally, Remote Hands services are available for on-demand technical support. The facility operates primarily as a sole-tenant model but also offers colocation options for one tenant.
