Cologix’s MIN4 facility serves as the premier interconnection footprint in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region, functioning as the primary network hub for the northern Midwest. Located within the renowned 511 Building, it acts as a critical gateway to the "Northern Route" extending toward Seattle. This strategic location provides high-count dark fiber along the I-94 corridor reaching the Wisconsin border, ensuring robust regional data transit.

As a network-neutral data center, MIN4 provides access to over 75 unique networks through its Cologix-controlled Meet-Me-Room (MMR). It is the prestigious home of the Midwest Internet Cooperative Exchange (MICE), which facilitates local peering across 14 distinct networks. The facility features two diverse communication risers, ensuring high availability and redundancy for all interconnected traffic.

To support the growing demands of the Midwest’s top tech hub, MIN4 offers direct cloud onramps to major hyperscale providers. This includes dedicated connections via Amazon Web Services® Direct Connect and Microsoft® Azure ExpressRoute. These private links allow businesses to bypass the public internet, resulting in lower latency, increased security, and improved performance for hybrid cloud architectures.

The facility is backed by a comprehensive suite of international certifications to satisfy the most demanding regulatory requirements. MIN4 maintains ISO 27001 Certification for its information security management systems and undergoes annual HIPAA Assessments for healthcare data protection. Financial and service integrity are further validated through SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 audits, alongside PCI DSS Validation for secure payment card processing.

Situated in downtown Minneapolis, the facility is highly accessible, located just 20 minutes from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. It offers easy access to major transit veins including I-35, I-94, I-394, and the local light rail system. Furthermore, the site is located in Seismic Zone 0 and sits safely outside the 100-year flood zone, providing a geologically stable environment for critical hardware.

The data center spans 16,000 square feet within a reinforced concrete and steel structure designed for high-density deployments. Clients have access to a wide range of space configurations, including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, and Shared Rackspace. For those requiring higher levels of physical isolation, Cologix provides private Cages and custom Suites, all supported by a maximum floor load of 225 Lb/sq.ft.

The facility is backed by 3.4 MW of total power capacity supported by three discrete power grids to ensure continuous operation. Power reliability is maintained through 2N UPS configurations and a minimum of N+1 backup generators. To manage thermal output, MIN4 utilizes cold aisle containment and cooling systems with N+1 built-in redundancies, keeping hardware within optimal temperature ranges.

Cologix ensures business continuity through a 24/7/365 Network Operations Center (NOC) and round-the-clock access to local engineers. Customers can utilize a self-service online portal to monitor environmental and power metrics in real-time.
