TierPoint’s Massachusetts facility offers a versatile range of colocation solutions designed to house critical IT infrastructure for businesses of all sizes. The data center features 40,000 square feet of raised floor space within a total building size of 115,000 square feet, supporting high-density requirements of over 150 watts per square foot. Clients can choose from half or full locking cabinets, private locking cages, and customized private suites. For organizations with specific needs, the facility provides raw space built to specifications and fully built-out whitespace to ensure maximum flexibility.

Reliability is a cornerstone of the facility, which utilizes a 2N A-side and B-side power distribution design to ensure continuous operation. The site is equipped with a redundant, UPS-protected power system and an extensive standby power array consisting of seven redundant 1,000kW generators, one 2.25 Meg generator, and two 2.5 Meg generators. This N+1 and 2N redundancy architecture is designed to prevent downtime, ensuring that company applications maintain peak performance even during external power failures.

The facility boasts a high-performance, Cisco-powered network infrastructure running the BGP4 protocol. As a carrier-neutral facility, it provides access to a wide array of on-premise carriers, including major providers like AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and Level 3. A private 10G fiber ring connects this site to other data centers in Hawthorne, NY, and Waterbury, CT, while the fault-tolerant Gigabit Ethernet IP Backbone and 10G Metro Ethernet capabilities provide superior speed and low-latency connectivity for global data demands.

Security at the Massachusetts data center is managed 24x7x365 by on-site personnel and advanced biometric systems. The facility utilizes iris scanners, mantraps with photo ID card access, and closed-circuit video surveillance to maintain a secure environment. Furthermore, the center adheres to strict regulatory standards, holding certifications for SSAE 16 SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and DSS PCI. It is also EU-US Privacy Shield compliant, providing a trustworthy environment for sensitive and regulated data.

Beyond physical space, TierPoint provides comprehensive technical support through its 24x7x365 Network Operations Center (NOC). Level 2 and 3 engineers are on-site or on-call to assist with remote hands, technical support, and professional services.
