Aligned Data Centers (Aligned PDX-01) Data Center

PDX-01 is a cornerstone of Aligned Data Centers' 27.02-acre Hillsboro campus, designed as a high-capacity, purpose-built facility delivering a 72 MW critical load. The campus leverages a total building size of 480,000 square feet, including 240,000 square feet of fully built-out whitespace. The power infrastructure supports 12 distinct 6 MW data halls, offering flexible deployment options such as full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and build-to-suit solutions, all supported by a raised floor system.

The electrical design prioritizes resilience and capacity, sourcing power from an offsite substation with 120 MW of dedicated critical capacity committed by Portland General Electric (PGE). Backup systems include generators equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for emissions control and 24-hour belly tanks for extended runtime. Sustainability is supported through 100% renewable power options, enabled by PGE’s diversified energy portfolio, including hydroelectric plants and wind farms.

PDX-01 integrates Aligned’s proprietary Delta³™ cooling technology, utilizing rooftop air-cooled chillers and a common plenum ceiling design to maximize airflow efficiency. The system also incorporates stacked Delta³™ galleries. Cooling is extended to PDU/STS rooms via CRAHs connected to the primary cooling loop to maintain thermal stability in all critical areas. The roof and equipment yard are fully screened to enhance security and maintain campus aesthetics.

The facility serves as a key connectivity hub for Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets, providing rich fiber routes to major U.S. regions such as California and Seattle. Its strategic location ensures low-latency access to APAC and proximity to major subsea cable systems, including TGN, Hawaiki, New Cross Pacific, TPE, and FASTER. Additionally, the campus is located near the AWS West region, significantly optimizing cloud on-ramp access.

As a purpose-built data center construction, PDX-01 is engineered for long-term reliability and scalable future expansion, including expandable whitespace for additional capacity. Aligned also delivers on-site service support such as Remote Hands assistance, enabling continuous monitoring, maintenance, and operational support for customer environments. With a balance of high-density power capacity, advanced cooling, and strong global connectivity, PDX-01 is well-suited for demanding compute workloads.
