Midco (Midco Fargo) Data Center

The Midco Data Center is a premier purpose built facility located in Fargo North Dakota designed specifically to meet the rigorous demands of modern enterprise IT. Spanning a total of 16000 square feet the building was commissioned in 2018 and serves as a critical hub for colocation in the Upper Midwest. The facility offers a flexible environment for businesses of all sizes providing options for full or partial cabinets shared rackspace and custom designed private cages.

Engineered for high density computing the data center features a fully built out power capacity of 1.75 MW. This power supports 7500 square feet of dedicated whitespace which is the area reserved for servers and networking equipment. Because the structure is purpose built the whitespace is expandable allowing for future growth as client needs evolve. The facility also includes a dedicated loading bay to facilitate the secure and efficient transport of heavy hardware.

As a Tier III designed data center the facility is built to ensure high availability and continuous operation. It utilizes an N plus 1 redundancy configuration across all critical infrastructure components including Uninterruptible Power Supplies cooling systems and standby power generators. This design ensures that if any single component fails or requires maintenance a backup is immediately available to take over preventing any disruption to client services.

A primary advantage of this facility is its integration with one of the largest company owned fiber optic networks in the region. It features a dedicated Meet Me Room and offers direct connectivity to five major Points of Presence located in Minneapolis Chicago Omaha Denver and Kansas City. With two peering networks available clients benefit from low latency paths and high speed data transfer across the United States.

Security is handled through a rigorous multi layered approach to protect physical and digital assets. The facility employs a mantrap entry system to prevent unauthorized tailgating alongside card access controls and continuous CCTV surveillance. While the site is monitored around the clock onsite security staff are present during business hours. Additionally Remote Hands services are available to provide technical assistance and physical troubleshooting on behalf of off site clients.

To protect sensitive electronics from heat and fire the data center is equipped with sophisticated environmental management systems. Cooling is maintained at optimal levels through N plus 1 redundant HVAC units. For fire protection the data halls utilize a clean agent fire suppression system. This waterless technology is designed to extinguish fires quickly without damaging electronic equipment ensuring that even in an emergency the hardware remains intact and functional.
