Established in 1995, 123Net has grown to become Michigan’s premier provider of data center, network, and voice services. The organization specializes in delivering high quality infrastructure to a diverse clientele, ranging from small enterprises to large carriers and ISPs. Built on a foundation of rapid delivery and high redundancy, 123Net ensures that businesses across Michigan remain connected and never miss a critical opportunity due to downtime.

123Net offers a versatile range of colocation options designed to meet various spatial and security needs. Clients can utilize individually locked full or half cabinets, private cages, or custom suites. To support these physical assets, the facility provides 24x7x365 onsite staff and a Remote Hands service for technical assistance. Furthermore, the center offers dedicated disaster recovery space and seamless cross-connects to integrate various voice and network services directly into a client's infrastructure.

Reliability is the hallmark of 123Net’s power design, featuring a 2(N+1) diverse A and B power configuration. This setup includes separate PDUs, panels, transformers, and generators to eliminate single points of failure. The facility boasts a total power capacity of 1.5 MW, supported by an N+1 UPS configuration consisting of three 500kVa units. In the event of a utility outage, standby power is maintained by three 750kVa generators, ensuring continuous operation for all hosted equipment.

To maintain optimal hardware performance, the data center utilizes 300 tons of Direct Expansion cooling capacity. This system is designed with N+1 redundancy, ensuring that even if a cooling unit fails, the environmental temperature remains stable. For fire safety, the facility is equipped with an automatic ECARO 25 gas suppression system, which is designed to extinguish fires quickly without damaging sensitive electronic equipment, providing a superior alternative to traditional water based sprinklers.

123Net operates a massive 3,000 plus mile Michigan based fiber optic backbone that is built for scalability and independence. By bypassing local phone and cable company networks, 123Net provides customers with dedicated, low latency paths. The facility at 24245 Northwestern Hwy serves as a major connectivity hub, featuring a dedicated Meet Me Room, access to an Internet Exchange Point, six peering networks, and eight different network providers, all within a fully meshed, fault tolerant framework.

The data center is housed in a standalone, two story retrofitted building totaling 16,000 square feet, with 8,000 square feet specifically dedicated to whitespace. The facility features solid flooring and offers roof access for specialized equipment. Operational since 2011, the building is designed for growth, with whitespace that is expandable to accommodate the evolving needs of its tenants.

Security at the 123Net facility is multi layered and rigorous, meeting SAS70 Type 1 certification standards. The perimeter is fully fenced and monitored by continuous CCTV surveillance. Access to the interior is strictly controlled via dual factor authentication and card access systems, ensuring that only authorized personnel can enter the facility at any time. This 24x7x365 security approach provides a protected environment for the critical data and hardware of every client.
