Founded in 1995, 123Net has established itself as Michigan’s premier provider of data center, network, and voice services. The organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality colocation infrastructure to a diverse clientele, ranging from small enterprises to large carriers and ISPs. Built on the pillars of rapid delivery and robust redundancy, 123Net ensures that Michigan based businesses maintain continuous connectivity to never miss a critical opportunity.

The facility offers a variety of colocation options designed to meet specific hardware and security needs. Clients can utilize individually locked full or half cabinets, or opt for larger-scale solutions like private cages and suites. To support ongoing operations, 123Net provides "Remote Hands" services and maintains onsite staff 24x7x365. Furthermore, the facility includes dedicated disaster recovery space and client conference rooms for onsite technicians.

Power reliability is a core feature of the 123Net infrastructure, highlighted by a 2N+1 redundancy configuration for both UPS and generator systems. The facility currently utilizes eight Toshiba 9000s 500kVa UPS units and a massive standby power array consisting of five 2MW Cat Diesels and two 1MW Kohler NG units. With 20 MW available for future upgrades, the site can support high density cages requiring up to 40kW per rack.

To maintain optimal hardware performance, 123Net employs a 2N+1 cooling redundancy system. The environmental safety of the data center is managed by a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) dry-pipe pre-action fire suppression system. This ensures that the infrastructure is protected from both thermal issues and fire hazards without the risk of accidental water damage to sensitive electronic equipment.

123Net operates a Michigan based fiber optic backbone spanning over 3,000 miles. This network is designed for maximum scalability and reliability, bypassing local phone and cable company networks to provide dedicated paths for customers. The facility features multiple fiber entry points and a fully meshed, fault-tolerant network. As a major hub, it includes a Meet Me Room (MMR), hosts one Internet Exchange Point, and provides access to 53 peering networks and nine network providers.

The primary facility at 24700 Northwestern Hwy is a standalone, seven-story retrofitted building totaling 136,000 square feet. It currently features 80,000 square feet of fully built-out "white space" for data center operations. Operating since 2015, the building is designed for high-capacity multi-tenant use, featuring solid flooring and roof access for specialized equipment or antennas.

Security is maintained through a multi-layered approach to ensure data integrity and physical safety. The facility is SAS70 Type 1 certified and utilizes 24x7x365 dual-factor authentication for access. Continuous CCTV surveillance monitors the premises, and access is strictly controlled via card systems. This rigorous security environment provides peace of mind for technology organizations and enterprises handling sensitive data.
