Strategically located outside of the 500-year flood plain, the facility ensures long-term reliability and protection. Designed as a sole-tenant structure, the data center benefits from dedicated access and tailored infrastructure without compromise.
Robust Security Framework
Security is a top priority at VAZATA, with the entire facility enclosed by vehicle barrier fencing and monitored by 24/7 on-site uniformed personnel. Entry is tightly controlled with a man cage at the main entrance, while cage access requires biometric and/or key card authentication. There are a minimum of four access checkpoints, each secured with biometric or key card readers. All access points, common areas, and the building perimeter are monitored by CCTV, with security footage maintained according to PCI compliance standards. The generator yard is further secured behind a retaining wall.
High-Availability Data Center Floor
The data center floor spans 12,500 square feet and includes a 36-inch raised floor for optimized airflow and cable management. Customers benefit from a variety of secure colocation solutions including secure cages, lockable cabinets, shared rackspace, suites, and dedicated footprints.
Reliable Power Infrastructure
Power availability is ensured through a total capacity of 2.0 megawatts, supported by N+1 utility feeds via three diverse paths. UPS and PDU systems are configured in a 2N arrangement, delivering true A/B power to the data center floor. Redundant PDUs and power panels (PPs) support seamless failover. Generators, configured with N+1 redundancy and additional roll-up capability, are tested weekly, and the data center maintains multiple redundant refueling contracts. Power is monitored down to the branch circuit level, supporting detailed energy oversight.
Redundant Cooling Systems
The facility uses dedicated 2N air-cooled chillers with a bi-directional chilled water loop and 2N pumping. Each 1125 kW data center suite is cooled with N+15% CRAH units, ensuring consistent environmental control. Fire protection is provided through a double-interlock, dry pipe, pre-action sprinkler system, along with overhead and under-floor smoke detection.
Diverse Telecom and Connectivity Options
Telecommunications resilience is supported by fiber entering through two separate entrance facilities on different sides of the building. VAZATA operates a private, fully redundant DWDM carrier-grade fiber ring, connecting this facility to major carrier hotels and other VAZATA data centers. A dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) supports robust interconnection capabilities.
