Facility Specifications
The data center was brought online in 2013 and features a raised floor design for optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. It is a sole-tenant, purpose-built facility with expandable whitespace, roof access, and a fully built-out power capacity of 5.7 MW across 41,320 sq. ft. The site includes a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and supports full and partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and remote hands services.
Power and Cooling Infrastructure
The facility offers true 2N UPS redundancy and N+1 standby power redundancy with a robust utility power feed of 20MW in a 2N redundant configuration. Power feeds are delivered via multiple utility sources from the CBD grid, with concrete encased distribution for added protection. Cooling is handled by a system with over 3,500 tons of cooling tower capacity and high-efficiency Uni-Flare CRAH units, all configured with at least N+1 redundancy. A 100,000-gallon reserve water tank and Liebert Leak Detect System further enhance environmental controls.
Security and Surveillance
Security at the Richardson facility is a top priority. The data center is protected 24/7/365 by on-site security personnel. Access control includes card access for parking and the lobby, as well as biometric hand scanners for data hall entry. Surveillance is managed by multiple 360-degree cameras with 10x zoom, high-speed digital recorders, and a system that eliminates downtime by using hard drives instead of cassette tapes. Video footage is retained for a minimum of 90 days.
