Cogent Communications, Inc. Data Center

This data center facility occupies 5,400 square feet of fully built-out whitespace and supports 0.1 MW of live power, which represents the fully built-out power capacity. The facility offers colocation options including Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, and Shared Rackspace, catering to a variety of customer needs. The standard rack configuration uses 39U Cabinets, with power supplied separately, typically in 20 amp or 2x20 amp increments. Currently, the facility hosts 1 tenant providing colocation services.

Access to the facility is tightly controlled and monitored 24/7. Entry is secured with a Biometric hand scanner, and the main entrance is equipped with a camera that records continuously, feeding footage to the Cogent Network Operations Center (NOC). Access outside standard business hours and on weekends requires an access badge to enter the building.

The facility features robust backup power and cooling systems. Backup power is provided by a Kohlar Diesel Generator rated at 1250KW, supported by a 500-gallon diesel storage tank and managed via an Automatic Transfer Switch. Customers are required to supply their own UPS systems, as none are provided. Cooling is handled by a 20-ton Airflow HVAC unit to maintain optimal operating conditions.

This telecom carrier-neutral facility provides diverse connectivity options through multiple providers, including SBC, ICG, Time Warner, and XO Fiber. Currently, there is 1 network provider within the facility. Available on-net products include a range of bandwidth options such as 10–100 Mbps flat & burst, 100–1,000 Mbps burst, 200–1,000 Mbps flat, and 1,000–10,000 Mbps burst. Additionally, XConnect service is available to meet customer networking needs.
