Cologix (Cologix DSM2) Data Center

The facility spans a total building size of 24,000 square feet, with 12,000 square feet specifically dedicated to data center operations. Within this footprint, there is a 6,000 square foot fully built out “white space” area ready for immediate equipment deployment. The layout is versatile, offering a variety of colocation configurations including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rack space, and secure cages to meet diverse tenant requirements.

Reliability is anchored by a 1.2 Megawatt (MW) utility feed, supporting a 1 MW fully built-out power capacity. To ensure continuous uptime, the site features a comprehensive Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. In the event of a utility failure, emergency power is provided by three Kohler 750 kW generators, offering significant redundancy to maintain operations under any conditions.

To manage the thermal load of high density computing, the facility utilizes 120 tons of cooling configured in an N+1 redundancy model. This ensures that even if a cooling unit fails, the environmental temperature remains stable. Additionally, the data center is equipped with two diverse path entrances for fiber and connectivity, integrated into a peering network environment with two distinct providers to ensure high speed, redundant data pathways.

Safety and equipment protection are prioritized through a dual action fire prevention strategy. The facility employs a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) system to provide the earliest possible warning of a potential fire event. If a fire is detected, an FM200 clean agent fire suppression system is utilized, which is designed to extinguish fires quickly without using water, thereby preventing damage to sensitive electronic components.

The data center maintains a multi layered security protocol to protect physical assets. Entry is governed by a combination of biometric iris scans, card access control, and biometric access control points. The perimeter and interior are monitored 24/7 via a comprehensive CCTV video surveillance system. For ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting, “Remote Hands” services are available, providing on-site technical assistance to clients at all hours.
