Mountain West Technology Network (The Rockies) Data Center

The facility is engineered for high-density requirements, featuring 1.5 MW of fully built-out power with 1 MW currently live. Reliability is maintained through a 99.999% facility uptime SLA, backed by N+1 redundant Vertiv EXM and TFX UPS and PDU systems. In the event of a utility failure, the site utilizes N+1 standby power provided by Cat DC600GC diesel gensets, which maintain 96 hours of onsite fuel and pre-established refueling contracts to ensure continuous operation under any circumstances.

To protect sensitive hardware, the data center employs N+1 cooling redundancy via specialized Vertiv DS systems. For added resiliency, portable emergency cooling units are kept on standby to manage thermal loads during maintenance or extreme events. The environment is managed through 24/7 automated monitoring solutions and alerts, ensuring that temperature and humidity remain within optimal ranges for high-performance computing.

Positioned as a major networking hub, the center offers dual fiber path building feeds and access to a 10G backbone. Clients can leverage multiple GIG feeds, three peering networks, and a dedicated Meet Me Room. A unique advantage of the MWTN network is the integration with One Wilshire, allowing global carrier circuits to be cross connected and delivered directly to the Casper or Cheyenne facilities via dual US Sonet ring fiber feeds.

Security is handled through a multi layered approach that includes mantrap entries, card access control, and 24/7 CCTV surveillance managed by the Network Operations Center. Fire protection is provided by a sophisticated zone based dual action dry mist water system with an interlock mechanism to prevent accidental discharge. While onsite security staff is not present, the facility's rigorous access protocols and automated monitoring ensure a highly secure environment for multi tenant hardware.

Beyond the physical infrastructure, the facility provides extensive technical support, including business hour onsite engineering and 24/7 remote hands. The technical staff is highly proficient across a broad stack, including Cisco, Sun, Microsoft, Linux, Unix, and Citrix Enterprise. Tenants also have access to essential onsite amenities such as conference rooms, breakrooms, office space, crash carts, and loaner tools to facilitate seamless hardware management and design planning.

The whitespace is designed for versatility, offering a wide range of deployment configurations to suit different business scales. Clients can choose from full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace, or opt for larger scale solutions like dedicated cages and custom suite footprints. This flexibility, combined with a solid floor design and expandable whitespace, allows businesses to scale their physical footprint rapidly as their data requirements grow within the MWTN ecosystem.
