The Boise facility is a robust, purpose built data center encompassing a total building size of approximately 45,000 square feet. Originally completed in the year 2000, the structure is engineered to handle heavy industrial requirements, featuring a floor load capacity of 250 pounds per square foot. While the building is expansive, it currently features 8,500 square feet of fully built out whitespace, which includes 2,000 usable square feet of dedicated raised floor area for specialized equipment.

Security is a cornerstone of this facility, which operates with a secured perimeter fence and private, monitored parking. Access is strictly controlled via two factor authentication for both the colocation rooms and individual racks, ensuring that only authorized personnel can interact with the hardware. The site is protected 24/7/365 by on site personnel and comprehensive video surveillance, while shipping and receiving docks, gates, and storage areas are monitored remotely to maintain a sterile and secure environment.

The facility boasts a massive power profile, drawing from a municipal primary substation of 15 megawatts and a secondary substation of 5 megawatts. The total on site power plant is currently rated at 2 megawatts, supporting a high density environment with a maximum power to area ratio of 15 kW per square foot. To ensure continuous operation during utility failures, the site utilizes a 5 megawatt generator system designed to a minimum of N+1 redundancy, backed by on site fuel storage capable of running the facility for at least 48 hours.

As a carrier neutral facility, the Boise data center provides clients with a diverse ecosystem of telecommunications providers. High speed connectivity is available through major national carriers including CenturyLink, Zayo, Level3, Integra, and Syringa, as well as several local providers. This variety allows for significant network flexibility, low latency routing, and the ability to implement complex multi homed networking strategies to prevent downtime.

Environmental stability is maintained through a sophisticated HVAC system with a total capacity of 180 kVA, distributed across multiple CRAC units. This system is designed to keep the 8,500 square feet of whitespace at optimal temperature and humidity levels for server longevity. The facility adheres to Tier 2 design standards, ensuring that the mechanical systems are robust enough to support critical IT workloads without interruption.

To protect high value hardware from both fire and water damage, the facility employs a sophisticated dual action fire suppression strategy. The colocation and electrical rooms are equipped with pre action dry pipe systems, which prevent accidental water discharge. Additionally, these critical areas utilize Inergen gaseous fire suppression, an eco friendly agent that extinguishes fire by reducing oxygen levels to a point where combustion cannot occur, while remaining safe for any personnel present in the room.

The Boise facility meets rigorous industry standards, maintaining DSS PCI and SAS70 Type 2 certifications to ensure data integrity and operational excellence. Beyond the technical specifications, the site offers extensive customer conveniences, including dedicated storage, staging areas, and office suites. Clients have access to conference rooms, workstations, a lounge, and Remote Hands services, with flexible deployment options ranging from shared rack space and partial cabinets to private cages and custom suite footprints.
