Cogent Communications, Inc. (Atlanta 1) Data Center

This data center provides a comprehensive range of colocation services within a secure and robust environment. It supports on-net products like IP Transit and Ethernet Transport Services, catering to a variety of networking needs. The facility is equipped with standard 42U APC AR3100 cabinets and offers flexible power configurations, with options for one or two 110v/20A circuits.

The facility spans 6,263 square feet of non-raised floor space and includes options for customer cages. Its fully built-out whitespace is 7,826 square feet. The data center has a capacity for full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and cages.

The power infrastructure is designed for high availability and redundancy. It features a 480v 3-phase utility feed with 800 amps, backed by a 150kVA Mitsubishi 9900A Series UPS unit with a 40-cell battery plant. A Caterpillar 3306 generator (250kVA) provides backup power, supported by a 1,200-gallon primary diesel fuel tank and a 1,000-gallon reserve tank. An 800-amp Kohler Power Systems Automatic Transfer Switch ensures a seamless transition to generator power. Cooling is managed by four 20-ton DataAire HVAC units to maintain optimal environmental conditions. The total live and fully built-out power is 0.5 MW.

Security is a top priority with a C*CURE Software House Card Reader Access Control System. There are four IP cameras with a local NVR unit for remote monitoring and recording, including one at the main entrance. Building system access badges are required for after-hours, weekend, and holiday access, as well as for elevator access to the 6th floor. A pre-action fire suppression system is in place to protect equipment and ensure safety.

The data center offers excellent connectivity with carrier availability from Cogent, AT&T, and Verizon. It supports 17 peering networks and has 3 network providers and 1 tenant offering colocation, which facilitates diverse interconnection options.

Additional amenities include remote hands services, CCTV surveillance, and Wi-Fi. The facility's robust setup and multiple redundant systems ensure high uptime and reliability for colocation tenants.
