The Involta data center located in Akron, Ohio, is a world-class, purpose-built colocation facility engineered to provide highly secure data storage solutions. The facility was first established under Phase I, delivering more than 26,000 square feet of critical data center infrastructure. This phase enabled organizations to leverage enterprise-grade operational environments without the burden of owning, operating, or maintaining an in-house data facility, ultimately driving significant cost savings and improved efficiency for clients.

In June 2016, Involta successfully completed Phase II, which introduced an additional 26,000+ square feet of data center and business continuity space, nearly doubling the facility’s footprint. The expansion gained strong industry recognition when it received the Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Design Documents, followed by the Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility in Q1 2017—validating its robust engineering, redundancy architecture, and reliability at a global benchmark level.

Security is a top priority at the Akron data center, which surpasses industry standards through a multilayered physical protection approach. The facility ensures 24/7/365 controlled entry through biometric authentication supported by a Mantrap Entry system for advanced access containment. Additionally, the data center incorporates a 2N UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) redundancy model, delivering exceptional fault tolerance, high availability, and resilience against power anomalies.

To maintain ideal conditions for sensitive IT infrastructure, the Akron data center deploys fully-redundant HVAC systems that precisely regulate internal temperature and humidity.
