Managed by 24/7 on-site technical staff (NOC), the center is designed for high-availability Remote Hands support and provides clients with 24/7 access via a secure portal.
Facility Design and Capacity
The infrastructure is split into two primary computer rooms: Computer Room 1 on the ground floor houses up to 100 racks, while Computer Room 2 on the first floor accommodates up to 80 racks. The facility utilizes 42u x 1000 x 700 racks supported by high-load 10KN/m² raised access floors. The site is a retrofitted construction with expandable whitespace to meet growing demand and includes a dedicated build room with anti-static areas for hardware preparation.
Power and Cooling Infrastructure
Power is delivered via an on-site dedicated HV substation, supporting 1.5 MVA of building power and up to 4 kW per rack. The system features a Socomec Delphy Green Power N+1 UPS and N+1 prime-rated generators to ensure continuous operation. For thermal management, the facility employs Airedale Smartcool N+1 down-flow air conditioning combined with a Cold Aisle Containment system using Cannon Data Room Cabinets.
Security and Fire Protection
Physical security is Tier 3 HMG Security Policy Framework compliant, featuring a Securex perimeter fence to UK Prison Service specification and 24/7 monitored CCTV with police priority response. Access is controlled via two-factor authentication, including biometric and card readers. Fire safety is managed through a VESDA early-detection system and FM-200 gas suppression, ensuring minimal risk to hardware in the event of an incident.
Connectivity and Interconnection
As a carrier-neutral hub, the facility boasts a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) with five peering networks and two primary network providers, including Ask4, BT, NTL, Cogent, and Global Crossing. This ecosystem provides diverse routing options and low-latency connectivity for all tenants.
