NaviSite Europe Ltd (NaviSite Redhill) Data Center

This facility provides a robust, enterprise grade environment for mission critical IT infrastructure, offering approximately 496m² of raised floor space within a larger 8,921m² two story building. It is engineered for high density deployments and supported by a 20MVA power supply delivered via 11KV service. The slab on grade concrete construction supports a floor loading capacity of 12.5 KN per square meter and is designed to accommodate heavy enterprise hardware, while remote water detection monitoring safeguards environmental integrity.

Always on connectivity is ensured through diverse underground carrier entry points and two physically separate Point of Presence rooms positioned on opposite sides of the building. Navisite operates its own IP address space and autonomous system number, using Border Gateway Protocol with full Internet routing tables to enable instant and dynamic rerouting in the event of a link interruption. This resilient architecture removes single points of failure and delivers seamless global connectivity.

Fire protection is delivered through a Double Interlock Pre Action Water Mist suppression system, supported by smoke detection installed both above and below the raised floor. Power resilience is achieved through an N plus N design and ten UPS plants built with 800KVA modules in a 2N configuration. In the event of a utility outage, on site generators are capable of operating the entire facility at full load for a minimum of 24 hours, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

The facility supports a wide range of deployment models to meet varying customer requirements, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace, as well as secure cages and dedicated private suites. For larger or specialized deployments, bespoke footprints can be designed, supported by Remote Hands services that provide on site technical assistance when required.

Cooling is delivered by multiple low noise air cooled chillers operating in an N plus 1 configuration, incorporating free cooling and direct steam injection through AHUs. All critical mechanical and electrical systems are monitored and controlled continuously through a centralized Building Management System operating 24x7x365. This approach ensures optimal performance while reducing environmental impact through energy efficient cooling technologies.

Physical security is maintained by 24x7 on site personnel and a layered access control framework. Entry procedures include visitor registration, mandatory escorts, and badge authentication, while access to the data hall requires dual factor authentication using biometric verification and access cards. Comprehensive video surveillance monitors both interior and exterior areas around the clock. Operational support is provided by the Navisite Service Center and IT Security Operations Center, delivering redundant NOC monitoring using technology agnostic tools such as SNMP, MIB2, and OpenView, with real time performance visibility available to customers through the NaviView management portal.
