The Melbourne multi-tenant data center has been operational since 2009 and is designed to provide a wide range of colocation services, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, and shared rackspace. Spanning a total building size of 300 sq.m., the facility ensures customers benefit from 24-hour unaccompanied access once nominated, along with dedicated account management and 24/7/365 “Helping Hands” technical support for emergencies and assistance. Standard rack setup is completed within 10 working days, with an express 24-hour option available.

The facility features a raised floor design across its 300 sq.m. floor space, offering colocation rack sizes of 1U, 11U, 22U, 42U, and 48U. Standard cabinet dimensions are 1000mm x 600mm, with a post-to-post depth of 750mm to 800mm, ensuring compatibility with major server brands such as HP, Dell, Compaq, and Sun. Adjustable-depth shelves can also be provided for servers without suitable rails at a one-off cost.

Each rack can support a maximum power capacity of 4 kW, while the overall power density reaches up to 10 kW per sq.m. With a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.5, the facility operates at a high efficiency level. The cooling infrastructure is designed with N+1 redundancy to maintain stable operations, and a dedicated Meet-Me-Room (MMR) is available for network provider interconnection.

Security is ensured through 24/7 onsite security and technical staff, supported by multi-layered safeguards including CCTV surveillance and card access control systems. For fire safety, the data center is equipped with a dual-zone fire detection system combined with an FM200 Gas Fire suppression system to quickly and effectively mitigate risks.

Customers benefit from 100Mbps and 1Gbps switch ports, both of which are fully burstable unless capped bandwidth is selected. Online bandwidth monitoring is provided, allowing real-time visibility into usage. The facility’s Meet-Me-Room acts as a hub for interconnection, currently supported by one network provider and one colocation tenant.

The Melbourne facility operates as a Tier 2 data center and holds ISO 27001 certification, reflecting its commitment to maintaining robust information security management practices.

The data center provides a variety of value-added services to support operations. Technical assistance is available around the clock through the 24/7/365 “Helping Hands” service, which includes emergency response and installation support, with an engineer guaranteed to arrive onsite within one hour for out-of-hours support. Customers can also leverage remote access features such as remote power cycling via 8-port or 24-port devices, KVM over IP access for full remote administration, or roaming KVM connections on an ad-hoc basis. Additionally, each customer is assigned a dedicated account manager to handle complex issues and process new service orders.
