Pulsant Ltd (NW-1) Data Center

Located near the M60 motorway and a ring road, this Manchester colocation facility expands Pulsant's existing data center network. It offers excellent transport links and connectivity, featuring a LINX Manchester Point of Presence (POP) on-site.

The facility is a 15,000 sq ft space with capacity for more than 302 racks, which can be rented as full, half, or quarter considerations. It has a fully built-out whitespace of 645 sq. m., and offers a variety of footprints including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites.

The data center operates on 100% renewable energy, supplying 1.1 MW of IT power across its three data halls. The total fully built-out power is 1.6 MW. Power redundancy is N+1 for the UPS and standby power. Each rack is equipped with dual diverse power feeds. The cooling system is also in an N+1 configuration, utilizing an air-cooled chiller system that incorporates free cooling technology.

Security measures include a fenced perimeter, internal and external CCTV systems, 24x7x365 building monitoring, and perimeter monitoring. Access control is managed through a combination of biometric access and card access control. For fire protection, the facility has a double-knock and VESDA system with automatic fire suppression systems.

The facility provides dual diverse network feeds to each rack. It is connected to 13 external carriers, including BT Openreach, Virgin Media, Vodafone, and LINX. The facility also has 18 peering networks and 9 network providers on site.

The Manchester data center is accredited with ISO27001 for information security and ISO9001 for quality assurance, ensuring high standards in both operations and data management.

The facility offers a range of on-site amenities for clients, including Wi-Fi, a kitchen with free hot and cold drinks, toilets, parking, a build room, and a meeting room. It also provides remote hands services.
