With over 35 peering networks and 11 major network providers on site, the facility offers a carrier neutral ecosystem that facilitates seamless interconnection for 14 different tenants offering colocation.

The power profile of the Global Switch London campus is designed to support the most demanding enterprise workloads, offering a total fully built out power capacity of 60 MW. London East is supported by the largest private high voltage network in the UK, maintaining a direct connection to the national grid’s 132kV network. This infrastructure allows for power densities of up to 2 kW per sq.m., ensuring that both high performance computing and standard server deployments are managed with maximum efficiency.

Reliability is the cornerstone of the campus, featuring multiple layers of redundancy to ensure 100 percent uptime for hosted services. The facility utilizes an N+2 redundancy configuration across its Uninterruptible Power Supply systems, standby power generators, and cooling infrastructure. This double plus level of backup ensures that even during simultaneous maintenance or unexpected component failure, the data center remains fully operational without service interruption.

To manage the thermal output of high density hardware, the campus employs state of the art cooling systems. These systems are configured with N+2 redundancy, ensuring consistent environmental conditions within the technical suites. By integrating sophisticated chilled water systems and diverse distribution pipework, Global Switch maintains optimal temperature and humidity levels, protecting sensitive hardware from environmental stress while optimizing energy consumption.

Security at the London campus is rigorous and multi layered, providing 24/7/365 protection for physical assets and data. The site is protected by a fenced perimeter and strictly controlled via mantrap entry points and proximity card access. Continuous CCTV surveillance monitors both internal and external areas, while on site security and technical staff are present at all times to respond to incidents. This physical security is complemented by digital safeguards, ensuring the facility meets the highest standards of asset protection.
