VIRTUS Slough LONDON11 is a premier purpose built data center situated within the thriving VIRTUS Slough Campus in England. The site is supplied by a 40 MVA diverse incoming feed from the National Grid and supports power densities of up to 40kW per rack. To ensure uninterrupted service, the facility utilizes a 2N UPS redundancy configuration and an N plus 1 standby generator system, which includes priority fuel contracts and a 48 hour run time at full load. This robust setup allows VIRTUS to maintain a 100 percent uptime record for its clients.

Efficiency is a core focus for LONDON11, which boasts a design Power Usage Effectiveness of less than 1.3. The facility employs a highly efficient chilled water cooling system configured with N plus 1 redundancy. By utilizing VIRTUS’ Air Flooded Room principle and free cooling chillers, the center maintains optimal temperatures even for High Performance Computing workloads without the need for supplementary cooling. Additionally, the site incorporates sustainable practices such as waste heat reuse in communal areas and DCIM metering for real time monitoring.

VIRTUS prioritizes a defense in depth security strategy to safeguard customer infrastructure around the clock. The physical perimeter is protected by a 3 meter high fence, security bollards, and vehicle traps in the parking areas. Internal security is equally rigorous, featuring biometric access control, full authentication policies, and comprehensive internal and external IP CCTV surveillance. On site security staff are present at all times to manage the seven layer security protocol and respond to any potential threats immediately.

As a carrier neutral facility, LONDON11 provides clients with a diverse range of connectivity options, including access to multiple Tier One and Tier Two carriers.
