Our Hemel Hempstead 2 Data Center is one of seven facilities we operate in the London area, specifically in Hemel Hempstead, Slough, and Dagenham. Located approximately 35km northwest of London, this data center provides a secure, high-availability environment for housing IT and network infrastructure.
Facility Design & Capacity
The facility offers a total of 2,200+ square meters of data center server space, commonly referred to as "whitespace." It accommodates various housing solutions, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, and cages, to meet diverse client needs.
Power & Cooling Infrastructure
The data center is equipped with a robust power infrastructure, featuring a fully built-out IT load of 5.8 MW. It boasts a minimum 2N redundancy for both its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with battery back-up and its standby generators, ensuring continuous power availability. The cooling system is centrally managed and linked to the Building Management System (BMS) to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
Security & Fire Protection
Security at the Hemel Hempstead 2 facility is comprehensive and includes a fenced perimeter, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and a combination of biometric and card access control. Physical fire protection is provided by an automatic fire suppression system in all hosting suites and plant areas. Onsite security staff are present 24/7 to ensure the safety and integrity of the facility.
Connectivity & Interconnection
The data center facilitates connectivity through a Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and supports peering networks, enabling clients to establish connections with various carriers and internet service providers.
