The facility provides flexible solutions for individual customer requirements, with the first floor available for occupancy after the ground floor, which was operational in January 2017.
Facility Design & Capacity
The facility is designed with two storeys, each offering 2,150 sq.m of technical space. Each floor is partitioned into four data halls, each sized at 537.5 sq.m / 5,785 ft². The total IT load is 1.125 MW per data hall, with a total fully built-out power of 9.3 MW. The data halls feature a 4,400 mm (4.4 m) clear height with a raised floor, and a floor loading capacity of 10 kN per sq.m.
Power & Cooling Infrastructure
The data center is engineered for high resilience, meeting Tier III+ standards for concurrently maintainable power and cooling. It features Active / Active dual redundant power supplies with up to 15 MVA capacity and dedicated electrical plant for each data hall. The UPS is configured for Minimum N+N redundancy with a 10-minute battery backup, and standby power is provided by fully rated N+1 MV back-up generators with a 48-hour fuel supply. The cooling system uses N+1 adiabatic cooling plant, dedicated to each hall, with Indirect Adiabatic Cooling Units supplying conditioned air via hot aisle containment, resulting in an ultra-low PUE. The IT power density is 2,000 W/sq.m, with options for higher density if needed.
Security & Fire Protection
The facility employs a multi-layered security approach operating 24 x 7 x 365. This includes a fenced perimeter, mantrap entry, CCTV surveillance, biometric and card access control, and dedicated on-site security staff. For fire protection, the data center uses an automatic fire suppression system and VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) for very early smoke detection. A secure managed delivery bay and a 3-tonne goods lift are located at the rear of the building for secure access to the data halls.
Connectivity & Interconnection
Zenium London One ensures diverse fibre connectivity through A+B Meet Me Rooms (MMRs), which are actively managed and provide connections from multiple network providers. This setup allows for dual-redundant power supplies and robust interconnection.
