London GB One is a premier 40.5MW data center campus strategically located in Slough, the United Kingdom’s most important communications hub. Developed by Global Technical Realty GTR, the facility is designed to support the high density requirements of enterprise and hyperscale customers. Positioned within London’s primary data center corridor, the campus represents a major advancement in infrastructure technology, delivering a resilient and high performance environment for mission critical workloads.

Facility Design and Capacity

The Data center consists of three independent yet interlinked data center buildings, enabling a modular and scalable deployment model. Each facility provides approximately 5,373 square meters of net technical space, delivering a total of around 16,119 square meters across the campus. Each building supports an IT load of 13.5MW, collectively reaching the full 40.5MW capacity. The build to suit approach allows customers to tailor environments ranging from shared rackspace to full and partial cabinet deployments.

Power and Cooling Infrastructure

Efficiency and resilience are central to the GB One design, with the campus targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness PUE of 1.25 to minimize energy waste. Power infrastructure is configured with N+1 UPS redundancy to ensure continuous availability, while standby power systems operate at N redundancy. All backup systems are fueled using hydrogen or Swan Eco label fuel, supporting sustainability objectives. Cooling infrastructure is designed with N+2 redundancy, enabling the facility to support high density workloads while maintaining strict environmental controls.

Security and Fire Protection

London GB One implements a comprehensive defense in depth security strategy to safeguard critical infrastructure. The campus is protected by a secure perimeter reinforced with fencing and 24 hour CCTV surveillance. Access is tightly controlled through strict authorization protocols and on site security personnel. Fire protection is managed through automatic fire suppression systems and advanced smoke detection technologies, ensuring rapid response while protecting sensitive IT equipment.

Connectivity and Interconnection

Situated in Slough, which supports approximately 90 percent of London’s data center demand, the campus delivers exceptional low latency connectivity. London GB One is fully carrier neutral, providing access to a broad ecosystem of Tier I and Tier II network providers. Customers benefit from direct on ramp connectivity to major cloud platforms and internet exchanges. The three buildings can operate as a single interlinked campus, enabling seamless data center interconnect for large scale and latency sensitive deployments.
