Liverpool City Region Data Centres (City Queen's) Data Center

Strategically located at the southern edge of Liverpool City Centre within the world-famous Baltic Triangle, this edge colocation facility in the heart of Queen’s Dock provides flexible configuration options. Ranging from 2U vertical racks to 48U deep server racks, the space can be customised to suit individual requirements. Dedicated workshop-style colocation suites are also available for custom build needs. Operated by Baltic Broadband, the LCRDC continues to expand with plans to deliver multiple small-scale data centres across Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helen’s, Halton, and the Wirral. These new-generation edge facilities are designed to support 5G applications, media streaming, autonomous vehicles, drone deliveries, and IoT deployments within local communities.

The facility offers a fully built-out power capacity of 12 MW, with a total building size of 2,290 sq.m. and 290 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace. Customers can choose from full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, or suites, supported by comprehensive remote hands services.

Each rack supports a maximum power density of 3.3 kW. UPS redundancy is configured at N+1, utilising APC UPS systems. Cooling infrastructure is deployed with N redundancy. Standby power is protected with N+1 redundancy, supported by on-site generators to ensure business continuity.

The facility has been operational since 2017 and is designed as a multi-tenant (mixed-use) environment. It is a retrofitted construction with the flexibility for whitespace expansion. Roof access is also available, supporting additional customer requirements such as antenna or satellite deployment.
