Green Colo Ltd (Walled Garden) Data Center

The Walled Garden is a purpose built sole tenant facility designed for maximum physical security and resilience. The site is enclosed by a formidable 3 meter high 400mm thick solid brick wall creating a secure perimeter for the internal infrastructure. Security is maintained through a combination of CCTV surveillance card access control and a fenced perimeter ensuring that the three on site Data Pods solar array and satellite ground services remain protected around the clock.

With a fully built out power capacity of 8MW the facility is engineered for high density requirements supporting up to 10kW per rack. Power is delivered via redundant 11kVA feeds with a 2N+1 UPS redundancy model utilizing Riello MST 60 units. This robust electrical framework ensures that the facility maintains a highly efficient Power Usage Effectiveness of 1.2 balancing massive power availability with environmental consciousness.

To maintain optimal operating temperatures for colocation hardware the facility employs an N+1 cooling redundancy strategy. The primary climate control is managed by Denco EP18 units which are specifically designed for data center environments. Furthermore the facility is equipped with an FM200 automatic fire suppression system providing a waterless solution to extinguish potential fires without damaging sensitive electronic equipment.

As a carrier neutral facility the Walled Garden offers clients a choice of four network providers or the proprietary ServerHouse IP. It serves as a critical node in a trifecta of redundancy linking directly with the Brunel Way Data Centre and Londons Telehouse. This geographic diversity ensures that a reliable link is always sustained backed by multiple peering networks and a diverse choice of fiber and IP providers on site.

Spanning 22000 square feet of fully built out whitespace the facility offers a versatile range of housing options from shared rackspace and partial cabinets to full suites and custom cage footprints. The building features solid flooring with a maximum load capacity of 120 lb per sq.f. and a floor to ceiling height of 90 inches. While the whitespace is expandable the current layout is optimized for high efficiency airflow and easy equipment maneuvering.

Operating since 1999 the facility adheres to rigorous international standards holding certifications for ISO27001 Information Security and ISO9001 Quality Management. It is a Tier 3 designed and certified data center meeting the strict uptime requirements necessary for enterprise operations. Additionally the site is DSS PCI compliant making it a suitable environment for organizations handling sensitive financial and payment card data.

Strategically located near Fareham the site boasts excellent transport links situated just 2 minutes from the M27 5 minutes from Fareham Main Railway and 20 minutes from Southampton International Airport. On site amenities for visiting technicians include dedicated parking WiFi loaner tools and crash carts. While there are no permanent on site security or technical staff the facilitys design emphasizes self sufficiency and remote management capabilities.
