The London East Data Centre, located in Thurrock, Essex, is a premier Tier 3 facility designed to meet rigorous industry standards for reliability and performance. The site encompasses a total technical area of 5,100 m² distributed across four dedicated technical halls. To support intensive data processing, the facility boasts a fully built out whitespace capacity and a combined technical power load of 4,641 kW approximately 4.65 MW, ensuring it can handle large scale enterprise requirements.

To guarantee uninterrupted service, the facility is engineered with a robust electrical infrastructure featuring N plus 1 redundancy for IT power. This includes sophisticated Uninterruptible Power Supply systems that bridge the gap during any power fluctuations. For long term outages, the center relies on 13 standby generators equipped with N plus 1 redundancy and sufficient on site fuel storage to maintain full load operations for over 48 hours.

Maintaining an optimal climate for sensitive hardware is a core function of the London East Data Centre. The facility utilizes advanced cooling systems, also configured with N plus 1 redundancy, to keep the technical halls within a temperature range of 18°C to 27°C. Humidity levels are strictly managed between 30 percent and 70 percent to prevent static or condensation, ensuring the longevity and stability of the hosted equipment.

Security is a primary focus, characterized by a multi layered approach to physical protection. The site features a fenced perimeter and is monitored 24 hours a day by a dedicated on site security team. Access is tightly regulated through biometric controls and a comprehensive surveillance network consisting of 125 internal and external CCTV cameras. These measures ensure that only authorized personnel can enter the technical halls or sensitive areas such as the Meet Me Room.

To mitigate the risk of fire related damage, the technical halls are protected by an Argonite inert gas fire suppression system. This system is designed to extinguish fires quickly without damaging electronic components, which is a critical advantage over traditional water based systems. This proactive safety measure, combined with 24 hours a day on site technical staff, ensures that the facility remains resilient against both internal and external threats.

Reflecting its commitment to excellence, the facility holds a Tier 3 certification from The Uptime Institute for both design and its Management and Operation stamp of approval. This certification validates its high level of concurred maintainability. Clients can choose from a variety of flexible deployment options, including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and private suites, all supported by Remote Hands services for hands on technical assistance.
