Volia-Cable LTD. (Center II)

Opened in January 2009, this data center has a capacity of over 3,000 units in its first commissioned section. It offers various hosting options, including full and partial cabinets, shared rack space, cages, and suites, with a maximum power of 10 kW per rack. The facility provides 24/7 physical access and remote KVM access to servers, along with dedicated on-site technical support.

Network Architecture

The data center's network operates on 10Gbit Ethernet. It utilizes a mix of Cisco Catalyst 3750-E, 2960G, and 2960 series switches, as well as Extreme Networks Summit X450 switches. Traffic is managed by multiple Cisco 7600 routers. Key network components are backed up, and the backbone access speed is 40 Gbps.

Power Supply and Redundancy

The data center's main power is supplied from a 10 kW trunk network through an independent switch-yard. An automatic transfer switch, the ABP Zenith from General Electric, seamlessly switches between two power sources to ensure continuity. In the event of a total power failure, a diesel-generator set serves as a backup. Power supply continuity is also guaranteed by four redundant General Electric UPS units, configured in a redundant circuit to prevent interruptions even if one unit fails. The total supply power is 1 MW.

Climate Control and Cooling Systems

Climate control is managed by dual high-precision Liebert-HIROSS Himod M air conditioners. These units maintain climate conditions according to TIA/EIA-942 standards, keeping the temperature between 20–25°C and relative humidity between 40–55%. The air conditioners are equipped with G4 class air filters with at least 90% purification efficiency. The system provides redundant modules in case of a main unit failure, all controlled via the ColdFire management system.

Security Measures and Fire Protection

The data center is equipped with a fire alarm system and an automatic gas-based fire-fighting system, which is safe for servers and equipment—unlike water or dry chemical systems. Hand-held carbon dioxide extinguishers are also available as an additional safety measure. Physical access to subscriber equipment is available 24/7.
