The new data center is a retrofitted facility located on the ground floor of a two-story building at 126/1 Plekhanovskaya Street, Kharkov, which was built in 1986. The total area of the facility is 130 square meters, comprising two adjacent premises owned by the company. The data center has been operational since 2018 and is configured for a sole-tenant tenancy.
Room Configuration and Capacity
The facility is divided into two separate server rooms, each with an area of over 40 square meters, designed to accommodate 10-12 server cabinets. This configuration provides a total of 80 square meters of whitespace. The design adheres to a Tier 3 standard, indicating a high level of redundancy and availability. The maximum power density is 3 kW per square meter.
Power and Cooling Infrastructure
The electrical grid features two independent inputs with automatic backup power for each server room, providing over 30 kW of power that is expandable. Power redundancy is ensured by a TEKSAN GENERATOR with an automatic start feature and a General Electric UPS. The total fully built-out power is 0.06 MW. Cooling is managed by Cooper & Hunter Air Conditioners with an N+1 redundancy scheme.
Security and Protection
The data center is equipped with a comprehensive security system. Physical protection includes waterproofing to prevent flooding and a design that is "sewn from dust" for a clean environment. Security measures include a security system with an alarm, an access control system, and CCTV surveillance. Onsite security staff is available 24/7. In the event of a fire, an automatic gas fire system using Freon 125 is in place.
Connectivity
Internet connectivity is provided through several independent fiber-optic lines from a primary data center, ensuring reliable and redundant network access.
