DGN Teknoloji Data Center

DGN Technology operates two distinct data centers in Bursa, Turkey: DGN PLUS and DGN SELF, both built specifically for data center needs and holding ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certificates. The facility ensures a highly controlled environment with uninterruptable power, climate control, and sophisticated fire detection and suppression systems.

The power system is designed for high resilience. Electrical energy is supplied via underground cables from the medium voltage power line, independent of the city grid, and passes through a physically protected, unshared transformer to the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The UPS system is redundant (designed as one more than the capacity requirement) and filters the load against fluctuations. In case of a grid power failure, redundant diesel generators located on the underground floor take over. These generators operate sequentially in 8-hour periods during long outages to prevent malfunctions, with the switchover process controlled automatically in a computer environment. For additional assurance, customers can request A/B energy through two completely independent UPS systems (ABB, Huawei).

The facility employs multi-level security to control access and monitor the environment. Security cameras are installed at every point in the specially designed building and continuously record images. Physical access is controlled via magnetic security cards at all entry and pick-up points, preventing unauthorized entries. Entrances to the NOC, data center, and office sections are logged according to ISO 27001 standards. Smoke and gas detectors monitor the building for fire risks. In the data center area itself, the fire suppression is handled by an FM-200 gas fire extinguishing system, which can extinguish a fire in seconds without causing damage to the equipment. Redundant fiber lines enter the data center underground and are physically protected, with interior passage points monitored by security cameras.

The network infrastructure is built with redundancy and security in mind. Fiber lines terminate on Juniper brand network devices, designed as a Layer 3 structure where all customer networks are isolated from each other using v-lan reservations. Connectivity includes access via Türk Telekom (over four separate interfaces and two separate physical routes), and direct peering connections with Vodafone and Turkcell. Internal network performance uses Cat6-UTP HF cables and textile ties for wiring harnesses to prevent cable damage. For security, the system offers high-capacity protection against DDoS attacks and uses an international firewall system to control and stop harmful traffic abroad before it enters the country. Network traffic is monitored 24/7 by technical personnel.

DGN Technology offers a wide range of flexible colocation services from its two data centers. A key service is a cost-effective shared rackspace environment for customers who only need to co-locate a few pieces of equipment, providing the benefits of a Carrier Class Data Center without the full cost of a dedicated space. Options range from small increments of 1U, 2U, 3U, etc., up to a full 47U cabinet facility. Dedicated services include Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Cages, and Suites/Reserved Area Footprints in the DGN PLUS facility. The DGN SELF data center also offers customer-specific dedicated cage areas and even rentable office areas for technical personnel. Additionally, they provide server rental, server hosting, Remote Hands services, and access to Peering Networks (10 Network providers in total).
