The new Bangkok 3 Data Center (BKK3) is located adjacent to the existing Bangkok 2 Data Center (BKK2) in the Eastern Economic Corridor’s Amata City Chonburi industrial estate, approximately 57km from Bangkok Central. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2025 and is designed to cater to hyperscalers and enterprises.
Facility Capacity
When fully built out, BKK3 will offer a maximum IT capacity of 12MW across approximately 4,000 m² of IT space. It is engineered for optimal power efficiency and cost-effectiveness, supporting high densities of up to 30kW per rack.
Power Infrastructure
The power system features a 12MW critical IT load capacity with an N+1 or better electrical system for redundancy. Cooling is managed by a highly efficient water-cooled chiller system utilizing an N+2 cooling system to ensure robust thermal management and uptime.
Security Measures
The data center maintains a high level of physical security with a 24x7 on-site security presence. Access control employs a dual-layer authentication process, including integrated circuit (IC) card authentication and biometric authentication.
Network Connectivity
BKK3 is designed to be carrier-neutral and provides a multi cloud interconnection platform. This allows clients to easily connect to major cloud service providers, offering flexible and scalable IT infrastructure.
