The coloz´ri.ch datacenter is a carrier-neutral facility located in Zurich, Switzerland, offering colocation services including standard full racks (47U, 60cm × 100cm or 80cm × 100cm) and flexible options like partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and private suites. It also hosts a switch for the SwissIX Internet Exchange, enabling multi-homed infrastructure with free peering. Services include remote hands, equipment installation, reboots, and spare parts replacement, with all necessary Cat-6 and fibre cabling arranged over a central patch rack/ODF for a one-time setup fee.
Facility Design & Capacity
The facility features 1,250 sq.m. of datacenter area on a raised floor and an additional 500 sq.m. reserved area for special projects such as private cages or suites. The whitespace is fully built-out.
Power & Cooling Infrastructure
The power supply is highly redundant, featuring a Dual modular UPS uninterruptible power source (A + B feed) and redundant backup Diesel generators. Cooling is managed by redundant air-conditioning with cold-aisle containments.
Security & Fire Protection
Security is comprehensive, including a 24/7 biometrical access system, a Man trap / Goods lock to prevent tailgating, and CCTV surveillance. Individual racks are secured, with a keysafe available. Fire and smoke detection is provided by VESDA units, and fire suppression uses an Inergen gaz fire extinguishing system.
Connectivity & Interconnection
The facility is carrier-neutral with numerous providers for fibre, wavelength, and bandwidth, offering interconnection between a customer's rack and their chosen supplier via coloz´ri.ch AG-supplied patch cables. The datacenter hosts 2 Internet Exchange Points and 57 peering networks, with 7 network providers and 16 listed fibre/wavelength carriers (including Swisscom, Salt, Sunrise, Cogent, Colt, Zayo, and Level3/CenturyLink) and 11 listed Internet Service Providers (like Nine Internet Solutions, iway AG, and IP-Plus/Swisscom).
