Originally constructed in 1972 as a satellite teleport, the site is a purpose built, two story facility designed for high stakes communications. Reliability is embedded into its core design, featuring N+1 UPS redundancy and 2N+2 redundancy for both cooling and standby power. The facility’s backup system includes four diesel generators with a 1 MW capacity, capable of maintaining a full load for over three weeks, ensuring total operational continuity even during extended grid failures.

The facility provides 500 square meters of fully built out whitespace that can be expanded to meet growing demand. Connectivity is a core strength, with diverse links to the Swiss electricity grid and low latency telecommunications fiber networks. Customers benefit from access to a dedicated Meet Me Room and a wide range of colocation options, including shared rackspace, full cabinets, private cages, private suites, and fully customized footprints.

Safety at LEUK is managed through a multi layered security protocol. The site features a fenced perimeter, CCTV surveillance, and card access control, complemented by a mantrap entry system to prevent unauthorized access. To ensure continuous protection, the facility is patrolled by onsite security staff at all times. While the building structure is highly secure, users may also implement customized fire suppression systems tailored to their specific equipment requirements.

Beyond the server floor, LEUK delivers a comprehensive working environment for technical teams and visitors. The site includes office areas, conference rooms, a breakroom, and WiFi connectivity, along with essential logistics features such as a loading bay, crash carts, and loaner tools. Technical staff are available on site during business hours to provide Remote Hands support. The facility also offers ample parking and roof access, making it a practical and accessible sole tenant environment for long term operations.
