BrainServe is an independent Swiss company located close to Lausanne, strategically positioned between Geneva and Bern. The facility was designed and constructed entirely from scratch and is fully controlled by the owner, with dedicated plots and buildings. It provides a secure environment for data housing, operating 24/7, 365 days a year with on-site specialists. The data center spans a total building size of 22,000 sq.m., offering 6,432 sq.m. of fully built-out whitespace and raised floors with a maximum load of 2,000 kg/sq.m. and a floor-to-ceiling height of 260 cm. BrainServe has been operational since 2010 and is located outside major risk zones such as earthquakes, floods, industrial hazards, or transport-related accidents.
Services Offered
The facility offers flexible colocation options including full cabinets, partial cabinets, shared rackspace, cages, and suites. Additional services include remote hands support and on-site proximity services to help reduce investments, forecast costs, save floor space, and lower operating expenses. Office space, a loading bay, and a dedicated meet-me-room (MMR) are also available for tenants.
Power and Cooling Infrastructure
BrainServe delivers a fully built-out power capacity of 10 MW, supporting up to 12 kW per rack and 3.6 kW per square meter. The infrastructure is built to Tier IV standards, with 2N redundancy for both UPS systems and cooling. This ensures the highest level of resilience and operational reliability.
Compliance and Certifications
The data center is designed to the highest industry standards and holds a Tier IV design and certification from the Uptime Institute. It is also audited according to ISAE 3402 Type 2 and complies with FINMA Circular 2008/7 requirements, ensuring adherence to strict financial and operational standards.

BrainServe maintains comprehensive security measures, including biometric access controls, mantrap entry, CCTV surveillance, automatic fire suppression systems, and 24/7 on-site security personnel. Technical staff are also present around the clock to ensure smooth operations and immediate response to any incidents.
Network Connectivity
The facility is redundantly connected to Switzerland’s main fiber optic networks, offering robust and secure connectivity. It hosts one Internet Exchange Point, 22 peering networks, and five network providers. Currently, six tenants offer colocation services, ensuring diverse connectivity options and high resilience for customer deployments.
