Stockholm 4 South serves as a cornerstone of Conapto's Stockholm South Campus, representing a significant expansion in high-density colocation. By seamlessly integrating with the Stockholm 2 South facility, the campus offers a staggering 7,600 square meters of total computer room space. This purpose-built, two-story facility is designed for scale, providing a total of 24 MW of power across the campus, with Stockholm 4 South specifically contributing up to 14 MW of scalable capacity to meet growing enterprise demands.

A major differentiator for this facility is its status as the first data center in Europe to achieve the prestigious OCP Ready™ for Hyperscale certification. This ensures that the infrastructure is optimized for the Open Compute Project’s rigorous standards for efficiency and performance. The building's design follows a Tier 3 architecture, ensuring high availability and reliability for mission-critical workloads while maintaining the flexibility required for modern cloud and hyperscale deployments.

To keep pace with the rapid evolution of high-performance computing, Stockholm 4 South is engineered with an AI-ready infrastructure. The facility features a robust slab floor and versatile configurations capable of supporting heavy, high-density hardware. Furthermore, the site is liquid cooling ready, allowing it to support the latest advancements in thermal management required for AI and machine learning workloads that exceed the capabilities of traditional air-cooled systems.

Sustainability is deeply embedded in the facility's DNA, utilizing 100% renewable energy. Unlike standard green power agreements, Stockholm 4 South employs Vattenfall 24/7 matching, ensuring that every kilowatt-hour consumed is matched in real-time with renewable production. This commitment to climate-responsible operations is further validated by several certifications, including ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 50001 for energy management.

Beyond just consuming green energy, the facility actively contributes to the local circular economy. It is integrated with the Stockholm Exergi district heating network, allowing waste heat generated by the servers to be repurposed to warm local homes and businesses. This heat reuse system, combined with a highly efficient design, allows the facility to maintain an impressive Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15, significantly lower than the industry average.

The technical core of the facility is built on a foundation of "no single point of failure." It utilizes a 2N UPS redundancy configuration for its power systems and 2N standby power redundancy to ensure continuous operation during grid fluctuations. Cooling systems are maintained at an N+1 redundancy level. These hardware safeguards ensure that whether a client occupies a single rack or a private suite, their hardware remains powered and cooled under all circumstances.

Security-conscious clients benefit from a facility that boasts Shell Protection Class 3. The perimeter is fully fenced and monitored by 24/7 onsite security staff and comprehensive CCTV surveillance. Access is strictly controlled through a series of checkpoints, including mantrap entries, biometric access controls, and card readers. For fire safety, the facility uses VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) paired with Inergen gas suppression to protect sensitive equipment without damaging hardware.

As a carrier-neutral hub, Stockholm 4 South features dedicated Meet-Me-Rooms (MMR) to provide optimal connectivity and diverse fiber paths. Beyond the server room, the facility is designed for human operational efficiency, offering office spaces, conference rooms, a breakroom, and a loading bay. With 24/7 Remote Hands support and compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type II, and PCI DSS, Conapto provides a holistic environment where data is secure, sustainable, and easily managed.
