Directly beneath this, the Distribution Layer serves as the high capacity arterial system of the facility. Utilizing high capacity fiber optics, this layer is engineered to seamlessly transport heavy traffic volumes from the core down to individual rooms and rack cabinets, ensuring consistent data flow across the entire infrastructure.
Security is decentralized and embedded directly into the hardware architecture. Each rack cabinet is equipped with its own independent, high performance firewall layer to isolate and neutralize threats at the granular level. This system is bolstered by automated diagnostics and proactive monitoring that analyzes traffic patterns in real time, allowing the IDC to isolate attacks or incidents before they can impact the servers housed within the specific enclosure.
The Access Layer provides the final connection point, utilizing 1Gbps switches located within each cabinet. This closet based structural design allows for progressive growth while maintaining guaranteed bandwidth for every unit. By localized traffic distribution at the rack level, the architecture minimizes potential bottlenecks and eliminates single points of failure, ensuring that as the data center scales, performance remains linear and stable.
Operating as a Tier 3 purpose built facility since 1996, the IDC offers a robust environment for mission critical hardware. The site features a 1 MW fully built out power capacity, supporting a high density environment with a maximum power draw of 32 kW per rack. The physical footprint spans 900 sq.m. of whitespace, which is designed to be expandable and offers versatile tenancy options ranging from shared rackspace and partial cabinets to private cages and full suite footprints.
