EhostIDC Data Center

The Ehost Internet Data Center, located in the LG CNS Building, is a large-scale, carrier-neutral facility. Constructed beginning in 2009, it comprises 13 above-ground floors and one underground floor, covering a 14,946 m² site with a total floor area of 75,041 m², including 12,060 m² of dedicated machine room space. The center features a modular and tailored environment designed to incorporate green IT solutions.

The building is engineered for high resilience, with an earthquake-resistant design capable of withstanding seismic events up to 7.0 on the Richter scale (0.2g of seismic acceleration). Strategically located 7 meters above water level and away from risk-prone structures, it is safeguarded against floods and tsunamis.

The data center is built with deep redundancy to ensure continuous operation. Its power system includes a dedicated, redundant supply line from Korea Electric Power Corporation, with N+1 backup high-voltage transformers and UPS units, as well as on-site emergency generators. Cooling is managed through a primary cooling tower and an emergency distributed system, supported by redundant pumps and conduits. The facility employs a "cool zone" and "hot zone" design for energy efficiency, with an isothermal-humidity water-cooled system that incorporates outdoor air during winter to reduce power usage.

Security is multi-layered and robust. The perimeter is protected with bollards, bulletproof windows, and glass damage sensors, while the first floor features fire detection via advanced CCTV. Entry and exit are monitored 24/7 with security personnel, speed gates, lockers, and restricted access to the computer rooms through interlocking doors requiring biometric and weight verification. Vehicle access is tightly controlled with RF tag tracking, roadblocks, and dedicated elevators for drivers.

As a carrier-neutral facility, Ehost supports multiple network providers and offers a wide range of colocation services, including full and partial cabinets, shared racks, cages, and suite footprints. Clients also have access to remote hands support for operational assistance.
