This proximity allows SL4 to contribute significantly to Equinix’s robust digital infrastructure ecosystem in the Seoul metro area, where it supports enterprise-level interconnection and colocation solutions.
The facility is engineered for high availability with 4 MVA of total power, supporting a fully built-out power capacity of 2 MW. To ensure continuous uptime for critical workloads, SL4 features an N+1 electrical redundancy system for its UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and N+1 redundancy for its standby power. The infrastructure is designed to support a maximum of 4 kW per rack.
To maintain optimal operating conditions for sensitive IT equipment, the SL4 data center utilizes an N+2 mechanical cooling system. This level of redundancy ensures that the environment remains stable and within specification, even in the event of a component failure, protecting hardware and ensuring consistent performance.
