Facility Design & Capacity
Teraco data centres are strategically located on the fibre rings of all major licensed carriers in South Africa, including Telkom, Neotel, Seacom, Broadband Infraco (BBI), and Dark Fibre Africa (DFA), all of which have fibre nodes presented within Teraco’s carrier hotel. The facilities offer fully built-out whitespace of 17,000 sq.m. within a total building size of 80,000 sq.m. Colocation options include Full Cabinets, Partial Cabinets, Shared Rackspace, Cages, and Suites, alongside Remote Hands support.
Power & Cooling Infrastructure
Teraco ensures high resiliency and reliability with power and cooling designed according to best-practice standards. Fully built-out power is 80 MW, with live power of 50 MW. UPS, cooling, and standby power systems all follow an N+1 redundancy model to guarantee continuous operations and support Service Level Agreements with 99.999% availability.
Security & Fire Protection
Teraco prioritizes security and safety, featuring a fully fenced perimeter, CCTV surveillance, biometric access control, and onsite security staff available 24/7. Automatic fire suppression systems are in place, complemented by round-the-clock onsite technical personnel to monitor and respond to incidents.
